A day in the life
At Amazon Music our Copy Strategy team thinks big but loves little details. Were fans of audio content (music podcasts and !) and we let fandom drive the work and pursuit of the best customer experience. As a UX Copywriter youll work crossfunctionally with our UX Design Product and Growth Marketing teams to efficiently and effectively guide customers through the Amazon Music landscape. You will craft concise and approachable content that addresses pain points highlights key product features and instructs and educates at the right moments ensuring that tone of voice and brand standards are appropriate throughout.
About the team
The Copy Strategy team embedded within the Brand and Creative Strategy team is focused on how Amazon Music comes to life through barraising messaging. Our work is grounded in strategic thinking and ensures that our brand personality and tone of voice are expressed consistently and appropriately across a wide range of channels and platforms. We collaborate regularly with our broader Design org as well as crosschannel creatives and business stakeholders with the primary objective of setting the standard for expression of the Amazon Music brand.

Highly proficient in English with exceptional USbased grammar and copywriting skills
5 years of experience as a UX Copywriter or similar role in an agency or inhouse setting and a portfolio that reflects
Proven ability to write educational microcopy across product experiences based on deep understanding of the customer journey friction points and desired customer outcome
e.g. User interfaces error messages onboarding flows
Strong bias for action in a fastpaced metricsdriven environment with an ability to quickly pivot based on feedback new customer data and/or changing business priorities
Proven ability to make informed copy decisions and recommendations backed up by expertise best practices testing/research guidelines and relevant frameworks
Ample experience crossfunctionally collaborating with UX Design Product and Growth Marketing teams
Experience creating/owning copy guidelines and other mechanisms for scale
Experience working with legal and localization teams (whose guidance impacts enUS copy)
Experience writing for a global audience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $106000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $184000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
