POSITION OVERVIEW: Greet customers when they enter the CLNW and guide them to the next step in the process.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Greet all customers who enter the Center in a positive and inviting manner that encourages the customer to want to stay and engage in Center services;
Ask required questions to determine if the customer is new to the Center or a returning customer;
If new customer escort to Career Resource Center to register on PA Careerlink;
If returning customer determine customer intent and assist customer to proceed with engagement (notify Workforce Advisor or Job Developer if customer has scheduled meeting inform customer of location of scheduled workshops assist customer to schedule meetings with staff and other engagement tasks;
Escort customers from one activity to the next as needed;
Schedule customers with unemployment compensation issues for meeting with UC representative;
Ensure that daily usage survey is completed by each customer as they sign in;
Understand the services and opportunities available at PA Careerlink Northwest and effectively connect customers with services needed
Cover reception desk answer phones and direct calls to applicable staff and assist customers as needed;
Attend meetings as required; and
Other tasks as applicable.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED;
Minimum of two years or related work experience;
Sound knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office;
Ability to quickly learn the services and opportunities available through PA Careerlink to effectively connect customers
Good conversation skills genial personality; and
Excellent customer service skills.
