You will support theI2M and IIM (Innovation 2 Market/Innovation and Initiative Management) process for the Portland Bakery and ensureeffective planning and execution ofchange as it relates to new and existing products packaging and processes for a plant or cluster. At the plant level you will work on change management and innovation management capabilities related to new product commercialization.

How you will contribute

You will:

  • Support Project Development / Execution: Support I2M/IIM (Innovation 2 Market; Initiative Management) within thesite;Provide site AR write ups & prepare critical site inputs to the Regional BD specifically for IIM DesignReviews (DR2 DR6); Leads Project Verification (DR7); Design Reviews (DR4) onward lead Plant activities:Master data Art Work Raw/Pack Material availability Track timings and report to project team. Act asthe source of internal and external information (contact for Commercial stakeholders and is the keyinterface between Category and Engineering / Manufacturing / R&D).Lead site post project evaluationand communication planning and execution of promotional activities within the I2M process

  • Support Site Strategic Plan / Annual Contract creation: Support the site director in developing the site strategy andplant road map. Be the key partner for Product Supply team on sourcing/capacity expansion ensure fullintegration of Innovation/Renovation plans in 421 into site supply plans. Partner effectively withEngineering to build the site CAPEX budget. Ensure planning of the capital budget bottom up includingprioritization (i.e. integration with the full site agenda specifically alignment of the annual timetable)

  • Drive Ongoing business and Simplification: Integrate overall site change management agenda to ensuredelivery of projects while maintaining service levels. Manage ongoing reprioritization Decomplexityagenda and support the delivery of the site productivity and improvement agenda. Ensure execution ofregional /global menu cards and ensure that manufacturing hurdle rates are Product supplyfor assessment of manufacturing solutions for current supply and demand gaps in the site

  • Lead coach and build Capability of the Business development change coordinator(s) within the plant andother Key stakeholders.

  • Strong operational & manufacturing experience in CPG industry with experience in engineering TPMTotal productivemaintenance 5s LEAN 6 sigma tools and concepts Safety & GMP standard

  • Good understanding of endtoend processes in the manufacturing and business environment; workingknowledge of commercialization process (I2M); project leadership / management skills and technical andfinancial aspects of the business

  • Strategic thinking while having ability to excel in leading tacticalprograms

  • Excellent communication (verbal & written) coaching and leadership skills in a teambased environment

  • Demonstrated abilities in analytics problem solving and team building

What extra ingredients you will bring:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Project Management & Operations Productivity

  • Experience within both Engineering and Manufacturing Operations

  • Proficient knowledge in confectionery and snacks technology and suppliers of respective equipment

  • Experience in designing equipment to meet AM and PM standards

Education / Certifications:

  • Bachelors Degree is required preferably in engineering or a related field

Job specific requirements:

  • Ability to balance leading edge technology solutions with capital availability and need for high savings

  • Ability to identify engineering solutions that consider our global network and category position

  • Ability to integrate Integrated Lean 6 Sigma (IL6S) phase requirements into projects

  • Ability to manage ambiguity and interpret large amounts of information and draw conclusions that support the project scope

  • Ability to think outside of the box and understand the broad category needs

  • Within this role the individual will be working across a matrix organization and will be expected to work with project teams across countries and a global community. The role will therefore have significant complexity & cultural diversity to manage.

  • Lead Commercialization efforts for large complex projects platform innovation programs while supporting any capital related initiatives. Ensure effective team engagement which may include establishing and managing team meetings. Review project timelines and cost regularly with the project team facilitate creation of mitigation/contingency plans and manage communication.

  • Ensure appropriate capacity for new business initiatives and growth plans across product life cycle. Develop and recommend alternatives as needed.

  • Provide updates to leadership project sponsors and stakeholders as needed on key initiatives including progress against deliverables cost management next steps and needs from sponsors to alleviate hurdles. Escalate concerns and issues report project fact base define options/tradeoffs and provide team recommendation that can be used in such forums as Supply Review ESR PMR or MOR.

  • Lead internal feasibility assessment during IC stage gate and business case to support business teams commercialization plans; define network capability (capacity/technology) and capital associated with developing such capability. Identify impact across the supply chain with regard to cost of goods sold e.g. route to market capacity utilization manufacturing efficiency quality safety.

  • Manage and deliver assigned financial targets to include the delivery of capital projects trial activity and startup expenses while leading resource & funding prioritization. Drive development of COGS ensure alignment between category team and operations. Engage and support productivity agenda to deliver cost reduction targets.

  • Lead Site Productivity agenda to develop internal targets of COGS.

Travel requirements:

  • Less than 20%

The base salary range for this position is $137300 to $188825; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience skills education and budget. In addition to base salary this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
