Job Description
July 7 2025 through July 31 2025
Parttime / Seasonal / Hourly No Benefits
Monday Thursday: 8:30 a.m. 12:30 p.m.
Friday: 8:30 a.m. 2:30 p.m. due to a weekly field trip
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
- Previous experience working with students of various ages in or outside of the classroom
- Professional Educator License or Youth Services Experience preferred
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Essential functions as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act may include the following duties knowledge skills and other characteristics. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (which are not in any hierarchical order)
- Must be 18 years or older and able to meet physical demands of job.
- Assist in planning daily lessons around specific themes which will include stem and craft activities as well as recreational and game activities
- Prepare park for students arrival
- Take daily attendance
- Maintain discipline and if necessary contact parents if any student(s) are not adhering to summer program rules
- Inform parents of any upcoming field trips or events
- Supervise students and staff on all field trips
- Communicate with park board president or designee as necessary
- Attend all planning meetings and summer staff meetings
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent; Valid Drivers License; Ability to pass a background check and any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge skill and abilities.
