Job Description

We are currently looking for the position Technical Logistic Officer.  

As Technical Logistic Officer you will support vessel operations and logistics activities in coordination with relevant departments; ensure efficient planning execution and documentation of vessel port calls and logistics services; and maintain proper procurement and warehouse management aligned with company procedures and compliance requirements. You will report to the Contract Operation Manager.

Responsibilities:

Operational Duties

  • Contribute to workplace safety and report issues to CM TSI or HSE.

  • Plan and coordinate vessel port calls efficiently.

  • Communicate vessel schedules and activities to all stakeholders in a timely manner.

  • Supervise all port call activities (fuel lubricants fresh water waste disposal etc.) under TSI guidance.

  • Liaise with authorities for required vessel certifications and ensure timely renewals.

  • Maintain professional relations with clients port and government authorities.

Logistics and Procurement Duties

  • Raise accurate POs (after vendor registration) for operational and international service needs; and verify servicerelated invoices.

  • Oversee warehouse operations and implement inventory tracking systems.

  • Ensure cleanliness safety and security standards in the warehouse.

  • Monitor warehouse electricity balance and maintain positive levels.

  • Process all incoming and outgoing warehouse materials.

  • Maintain a oneyear PPE stock for all sizes and track distributions.

  • Ensure crew boarding with appropriate PPE.

  • Track and follow up on local and international shipments.

  • Report shipping details and documentation to the head office.

  • Coordinate with agents procurement departments and vendors for clearance and shipping.

  • Ensure goods are imported under optimal customs regimes.

  • Assist in sourcing of goods locally.

Administrative Duties

  • Maintain and update vessel activity tracker.

  • Keep procurement records compliant for local content reporting.

  • Submit reports as required (daily monthly quarterly or ad hoc).

  • Ensure organized and uptodate documentation.

  • Serve as backup for during absences.


Qualifications :

To be successful in this position you will recognize yourselves in the following:

  • 3 5 years work experience
  • Bachelor degree in maritime or administration
  • Strong problemsolving skills and a proactive approach.
  • Prior experience in maritime logistics or vessel operations preferred.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements for port and vessel operations in Guyana.
  • Fluent command of the English language spoken and written
  • Good Microsoft skills  Excel and Word
