Description
SUMMARY:
To help knitters and fixers find machines that are making defects and have it corrected.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Check socks for defects through each line assigned machine by machine
- Flag machine if defects found by marking defective area with washable marker and placing on machine.
- Record defects by type and machine number on clip board form at end of lines
- Notify supervisor of a repeated defect on the same machine
- Make sure face card information and yarn matches machine style
- Turn in paperwork at end of shift
- Use sock stick provided to retrieve socks from funnels during checks when needed
- Keep continuous checking until designated break times
- Other duties assigned by management are a part of this job description
- Adhere to company policies including attendance and punctuality
- Communicate with coworkers management and others in a courteous and professional manner;
- Conform with and abide by all regulations policies work procedures and instructions including but not limited to confidentiality requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
KNOWLEDGE SKILL AND ABILITY
- Basic education in reading writing & mathematics
- Good communication skills and work well with others
- Basic knowledge of computer
- Basic knowledge of defects common in socks

The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Ability to move between departments to interact with others. Consistent daily attendance required; occasional offshift support and limited travel required.
