WXXVTV FOX 25/NBC 25 Gulfport/Biloxi on the beautiful Mississippi Gulf Coast with 26 miles of white sand beaches is looking to hire a Meteorologist who will also serve as a multimedia journalist. We will train the right person.
As a meteorologist you will get the chance to do the weather full time on our Sunday night newscasts and select Noon newscasts each week along with the opportunity to fillin on our morning and evening newscasts.
You will also work as an MMJ select days out of the week gathering a variety of news stories. We provide live shot opportunities where you can sharpen your skills for both news and weather forecasting.
Our News Department utilizes Edius nonlinear editing and the AP ENPS production software. We also use the TVU live unit packs for live reporting out in the field.
Our station builds careers with daily coaching and mentoring. Our Chief Meteorologist has nearly 15 years experience in the broadcast meteorology industry and our News Manager is a native of the Mississippi Gulf Coast with a commitment to covering whats important to our viewers while developing the next generation of successful journalists.
A good driving record is a utilize DMV and criminal background checks as a condition of employment.
