Join Seven Network as our new Journalist Producer in Townsville QLD!

The Opportunity:

A new and exciting opportunity has opened for a Journalist Producer to join the 7NEWS team in QLD in what promises to be an exciting year ahead at Seven.

What youll do:

Based in Townsville and reporting to the Supervising Producer you will be primarily focused on developing and creating high-standard segments. You will be responsible for breaking news stories and creating engaging content as well as contributing to editorial meetings and liaising with the News Director regarding story development.

What youll bring:

Youll be a driven and energetic Journalist with the ability to think clearly and act quickly under pressure possessing excellent communication skills to collaborate with different stakeholders internally as well as externally with the local community. Youll be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on tight deadlines. Youll also bring:

A minimum two years experience in television news reporting and producing.
Strong leadership qualities with first-class people skills.
Energetic self-starter attitude with the ability to think clearly and act quickly under pressure.
Proven editorial skills.
A solid understanding of media law and ethics
A sense of urgency and focus on deadlines
