Job Description
We are seeking a detailoriented and analytical Procurement Officer to join our client team in Lagos Nigeria. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing our organizations procurement processes ensuring costeffectiveness and maintaining strong relationships with vendors.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals
- Analyze market trends pricing and supplier performance to identify costsaving opportunities
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to secure favorable terms
- Manage the entire procurement lifecycle from requisition to payment
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand and fulfill their procurement needs
- Maintain accurate records of purchases contracts and vendor information
- Ensure compliance with company policies local regulations and international trade laws
- Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities and key performance indicators
- Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes for increased efficiency
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in procurement and supply chain management
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management or related field
- 3 5 years proven experience in supply chain in a Marine and Logistics Environment.
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills particularly in Excel
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving abilities
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of procurement best practices and regulations
- Understanding of supply chain management principles
- Familiarity with local suppliers and market conditions in Lagos Nigeria
- Professional certification (e.g. CPSM CPM) preferred
- Experience with international trade regulations a plus
