Job Description
NorthStar Memorial Group is seeking a temporary Maintenance Employee at Mountain View Funeral Home & Cemetery for the summer season. Our maintenance teams take pride in maintaining our grounds with attention to detail and tradition ensuring every familys unique experience is honored. As integral parts of our community our maintenance workers have a strong sense of ownership in our grounds and locations reflecting the highest standards of quality and comfort in this stable role. In this role the facilities maintenance crew gains transferable skills fostering even more of a sense of purpose.
Responsibilities
- Mowing lawns and maintaining landscaped areas to the highest standards.
- Recognizing and adequately disposing of wilted or dead flowers while preserving healthy plants.
- Ensuring compliance with all rules and regulations regarding grave decorations and presentation.
- Performing general gardening tasks including planting weeding trimming and mulching as needed.
- Supporting seasonal landscaping needs with overtime required leading up to Memorial Day.
- Litter pickup and emptying trash can throughout the park.
- Cleaning tasks in staterooms chapels restrooms offices and any other areas assigned by management
- Pressure washing parking areas as needed
- General Facility Maintenance of grounds and the funeral home
Qualifications
- High school or equivalent education preferred
- 6 months of experience preferred
- Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body such as climbing lifting balancing walking stooping and handling materials
Compensation
- Pay Range $17.00$18.00/hr.
