What Youll Do:
As the Client Development Specialist you will drive all transactional interactions between customers prospects and GSM to support sales efforts and ensure sales goals are achieved.
Your Accountabilities in the Role:
- Enters customer orders and releases that reflect the correct price and due date to ensure an ontime completion.
- Uploads forecasts creates reports and analyzes data to ensure GSM understands its Sales Pipeline.
- Processes requests for quote (RFQs) for the estimating process and completes estimates through the use of automated tools and defined processes including the repricing of customer POs that come in after quote expiration.
- Monitors customer portals for opportunities to process RFQs engineering changes schedule changes customer surveys and required compliance information (i.e. ROHs REACH certificates of origin) and all other customerrelated requirements.
- Responds daily to customer inquiries and needs including but not limited to: order changes order or RFQ status quality issues developing reports attending virtual and live meetings participating in technical and account reviews managing cases and calculating the impact of change requests to ensure efficient customer service.
- Follows up with customers on quote submissions in order to uncover needs and opportunities; then collects analyzes and prioritizes next steps.
- Coordinates and hosts customer onsite visits and tours in a friendly and professional manner ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Contributes to the creation of defined processes and participates in continuous improvement initiatives and projects to ensure continued development and growth.
- Develops and maintains situational contract templates used in the customer onboarding process and uses to onboard customers in a smooth and stressfree manner.
- Optimizes the CRM tool to manage customer data and ensure timely response and resolution to assigned cases.
- Identifies and participates in educational opportunities and reads professional publications reporting key learnings to GSM to maintain and update job knowledge on an ongoing basis.
Position Requirements:
- Education: Bachelors Degree completed in Sales Business or a related field preferred; or and equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Experience: 2 years of Customer Service experience in a manufacturing industry preferred.
- Certifications: NA
- Functional Skills: Strong math analytical and higherorder reasoning abilities; Strong attention to detail with the ability to keep and maintain accurate records; Ability to use creative talents and skills to successfully resolve problems and develop solutions that work; Ability to read blueprints is needed. Solid understanding of the motivating factors in the buy/sell paradigm.
- Technology Skills: Advanced aptitude with computers ERP CRM and Estimating Software Microsoft and other presentations systems.
- Communication Skills: Strong written & verbal communication skills along with strong negotiation and presentation skills are also full use of audiovisual technologies and programs to develop clear engaging and persuasive presentations.
- Leadership/ Behaviors: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain an optimistic or neutral attitude in helping the customer reach important goals without sacrificing profitability. Ability to persuade and influence others both inside and outside of the organization. Listens carefully to the input of others and gets clarification before generating conclusions; responds thoughtfully and nondefensively to questions. Must maintain the strictest confidence and integrity regarding all issues and information of GSM. This position requires this employee to represent the company and conduct business in a professional manner at all times.

Other Important Information:
Pay/Salary: Salaried role based on proven expertise.

Reports To: Inside Sales Manager
Core Hours: 7:45 am 5:15 pm
Typical Work Week: MF; occasional weekend work where required; 45 50 hours a week on average

Travel: Limited 5%
