Position: Zonal Account Manager

Location: Chennai
Territory: Tamil Nadu State

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in science; MBA preferred
  • Minimum 6 years of sales experience in the healthcare sector preferably within the medical devices industry

Role Overview:

The Zonal Account Manager is an Individual Contributor role responsible for achieving and exceeding sales targets in Chennai aligned with company policies and objectives. The position focuses on the sales of ASP Terminal Sterilization solutions (Capital Equipment and Consumables) and HighLevel Disinfection (HLD) products (Capital Equipment and Disinfectants).

The candidate should possess indepth product knowledge a keen understanding of customer needs and awareness of market dynamics. Building and nurturing longterm relationships with customers is essential to strengthen ASPs position as a preferred supplier.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Achievement:

  • Promote the complete ASP product portfolio Terminal Sterilization & HLD solutions
  • Develop and present weekly/monthly sales action plans
  • Negotiate and close routine sales independently; seek support for complex deals
  • Participate in trade shows exhibitions and industry conferences as needed

Territory Management:

  • Understand customer needs to identify and pursue sales opportunities
  • Monitor and respond to tender/contract opportunities in collaboration with internal teams
  • Develop a strategic territory plan to maximize efficiency and results
  • Educate surgeons and healthcare professionals on infection control best practices through oneonone meetings group sessions and consultinsurgery

Customer Education & Training:

  • Collaborate with management to assess and address customer training needs
  • Deliver inservice education and product training at various levels within hospitals
  • Maintain strong customer relationships to support effective product utilization
  • Communicate customer training needs to the marketing team

Key Account Management:

  • Develop strategic plans for key accounts to drive growth
  • Identify and engage key decisionmakers
  • Leverage crossselling opportunities across the product portfolio
  • Provide ongoing customer support including inventory coordination within company guidelines

Product & Market Expertise:

  • Continuously enhance knowledge of product features benefits and applications
  • Demonstrate effective product use and value versus competitor offerings
  • Stay updated on market trends customer behaviors and competitive landscape

Expense & Resource Management:

  • Effectively manage AR and operating expenses including travel and promotional budgets
  • Plan usage of samples and resources within approved limits
  • Align expense planning with agreed budgets and business goals

Corporate Ethics & Governance:

  • Maintain high ethical standards in all business interactions
  • Uphold company values and integrity in customer engagements
  • Foster trustbased compliant relationships with stakeholders
