We are hiring a Strategic Human Resources Business Partner to support our Operations Rapid Transit and Asset Management & Maintenance divisions. The SHRBP will provide strategic HR advice expertise planning and project and change management to senior leaders. Through a clientcentric lens the SHRBP will lead the implementation of corporate HR initiatives develop customized strategies and solutions and evaluate and recalibrate to meet unique business needs.
What will I be doing
- As a Strategic HR Business Partner you will support senior divisional leadership in talent and performance management strategic workforce planning employee and labour relations succession planning employee engagement leadership coaching internal communications and organizational design and transformation.
- Manages employee relations issues with their clients (e.g. workplace disputes etc.) including leading nonWHD investigations.
- Utilizing the full range of HR metrics collects and analyzes data to proactively identify issues and trends and develops customized datadriven HR solutions.
- Leads the implementation of various corporate HR initiatives including succession management talent management learning and development etc. developing customized strategies to meet and progress the unique needs of each business unit.
- Provides ongoing strategic HR partnership to business leaders on HR programs practices policies legislation and regulatory requirements including interpretation of policy identification of risk impact to the business and recommended solutions; acts as a liaison for the client with the HR COEs and engages them as appropriate in supporting fulsome wrap around service delivery.
- Supports clients with the development and implementation of change management and intervention strategies to support major projects and transformational plans that have HR implications.
- Participates in annual business planning and business transformation processes to assess and plan future workforce needs headcount growth requirements and implications on organizational structure meeting short and longterm business priorities.
- Provides leadership technical guidance training and coaching/mentoring to HR Generalists.
- With a continuous improvement mindset leads and manages interdisciplinary teams/working groups to improve processes and programs as applicable for clients and within HR.
What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need
- Completion of a university degree or college diploma in a related discipline to Human Resources Management/Business Administration or equivalent experience; CHRP and/or CHRL is an asset.
- Demonstrated training/experience which is progressively responsible and related generalist experience in Human Resources including Performance Management Talent Management Business Transformation and organizational design principles as well as policies and related legislation.
- Demonstrated strong functional expertise in all HR disciplines programs and practices.
- Proven expertise in and commitment to equity diversity and inclusion.
- Proven ability to proactively develop solutionsbased strategies; analytical skills to develop datadriven HR solutions to support business strategic objectives.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to present & consult effectively and prepare comprehensive investigation reports business cases etc.
- Leadership skills to provide coaching and guidance to HR Generalists and other HR partners as well as senior business leaders and executives.
- Demonstrated relationship building capabilities to partner and collaborate with stakeholders as well as strong influencing ability.
- Advanced knowledge of organizational design change management and project management principles to lead business transformation and restructuring projects.
