Since being established in 1998 DFA has grown and now provides specialist dermatology care across Queensland Northern Territory and parts of NSW. Being based in Stafford Brisbane this unique business is collocated within a fantastic veterinary hospital whilst also partnering with clinics to provide specialist veterinary dermatology patient care.
We seek a passionate and enthusiastic Business Manager for our service. As an integral leadership and admin team member the Business Manager will be responsible for business development strategy and operational and financial management working closely with shareholders specialist veterinarians registrars residents interns nurses and support teams.
The successful candidate will have substantial business operations knowledge and experience and be an approachable and influential leader who desires to help others succeed and grow. The preferred candidate will bring a strong track record of experience in the veterinary industry. Postgraduate qualifications in a related field such as business commerce business management or similar will be highly regarded.
Business manager responsibilities include:
- Financial leadership reporting and P&L responsibilities.
- Leading and building teams of industry leading veterinarians and nurses.
- Project management within the hospital
- Business strategic planning and execution
- Relationship building with our valued referring veterinarians
- Marketing and promotional coordination
- Liaising with other hospital managers to ensure appropriate alignment and promotion of the business group to maximise efficiency profitability and productivity
- Managing partnership agreements
- Working with clinicians and support team to ensure excellence in clinical standards and administration support
- Client liaison including managing appointments
