SPAs IT team has an immediate need for a Network Engineer in San Diego CA. #KS
Responsibilities
The Network Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of network projects in both enterprise and classified networks in accordance with change management policies. The Network Engineer will be responsible for staying abreast of new and future technologies. This position is a handson technical role engineering configuring and maintaining the networks used by SPA.
The specific programs and options available to any given employee may vary depending on eligibility factors such as geographic location date of hire etc.
Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications as well as market and business considerations. California Pay Transparency Range:$140k$175K
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years network engineering experience with a bachelors degree or 7 years network engineering experience without a bachelors degree.
- Solid understanding and handson experience with switches routers routing protocols (especially BGP) and SDWAN platforms
- Experience in access control lists firewalls IPSs load balancing VPN technologies and other security technologies
- Broad understanding of technical principle theories and concepts in the networking field
- Experience with cloud networking technologies including Azure
- Understanding of DoD and networking baselines and compliance requirements (i.e. CMMC RMF C2C) including implementing DISA STIGS
- Experience configuring and implementing network access control solutions such as Cisco ISE in secure environments.
Professional Certifications:
- Candidate must possess or can obtain a DoD 8140/8570 baseline certification and relevant specific technology training within 6 months of initial employment
- One or more of the following vendorspecific professional certifications is required:
- Cisco
- Palo Alto
- Aruba
Clearance Requirements:
- Active Secret or higher clearance required
- Please Note: U.S. Citizenship is required for this position
