We are hiring immediately for Unarmed Security Officers to work as parttime Flex Security Officers at the Museum of Science and Industry. Ideal candidates will have open availability because schedules can and do change over time and you will be needed to cover for calloffs or other issues. Titan will however make every effort to provide adequate notice of schedule changes.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities of Security Officers include but are not limited to:
Provide excellent Customer Service to all parties encountered while on duty including assisting with directions and general business information
Control access for patrons visitors or vendors as required
Monitor security guard cameras and conduct patrols to guard against theft and maintain a safe environment
Maintain clear accurate logs pertaining to people or property including packages
Respond to incidents including emergencies at the property and record data on incidents for building and Titan Security management
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and 2 years prior satisfactory employment as a security officer or in a customer service position.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Certificates Licenses Registrations: Ability to acquire and maintain a valid Illinois PERC including state accredited training requirements.
Language Skills: Must have the ability to read write speak and understand English. Bilingual considered a plus.
Computer Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word Access Excel PowerPoint).
Other Qualifications: Ability to pass preemployment drug screen and criminal background check. Must maintain a working telephone number though which we can contact you.
Physical Demands: The physical demands are based on the contract and must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Salary & Benefits: Compensation is $18.40 per hour based on experience plus paid time off medical insurance dental insurance paid holidays and pension/retirement benefits. Skillsenhancing training and opportunities for career growth and promotion.
