Profile Requirements:
- 2.5 years of proven bookkeeping experience (accounts payable/receivable general ledger maintenance) with demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail.
- Handson proficiency in MYOB and Shopify (basic knowledge willing to learn); comfortable learning new ecommerce/admin systems quickly.
- Strong spreadsheet skills Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis reconciliations and custom reporting.
- Solid understanding of tax obligations and relevant compliance requirements.
- Exceptional organizational and timemanagement abilities; able to juggle routine bookkeeping with adhoc ecommerce tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; confident liaising with vendors clients and crossfunctional teams.
- Selfmotivated proactive problem solver who identifies process improvements and resolves discrepancies independently.
Core responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records including accounts payable accounts receivable general ledger entries invoices receipts payments and bank deposits using MYOB and spreadsheets.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts daily/weekly to ensure transaction accuracy and completeness.
- Process vendor invoices in MYOB verify pricing/quantities and schedule timely payments; generate customer invoices via Shopify and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Produce regular financial reports (balance sheet income statement cash flow) and adhoc analyses to inform management decisionmaking.
- Support budgeting and forecasting by delivering timely accurate financial data; highlight trends and variances.
- Assist with internal/external audits by compiling supporting documentation; proactively monitor compliance with accounting principles payroll laws and datasecurity standards.
- Assist with editing Shopify website as required learn on the job.
- Ideal: willingness to assist with basic social media tasks (inbox monitoring uploading a post) learn on the job.
- Ad hoc task: calendar and email management

NOTE: This is a permanent remote position structured as an Independent Contractor arrangement. Selected candidates must have their own equipment and reliable internet connection. Additionally they will be responsible for managing their own taxes and benefits. Compensation is offered on a biweekly basis.
