The Audience and Media Division will revolutionise how Universal delivers for our artists and become a new centre of excellence at Universal Music UK.
The Media Division is a creative hub of best in class executives from across the industry representing all areas of promotion. From PR TV podcasts radio social media digital channels and influencer culture we holistically create bespoke fully integrated media campaigns for our artists not established or new.
This role will play a crucial part of the team elevating all traditional media opportunities as well as finding new innovative ways for artist promotion.
Be Operational
Working in conjunction with the Visual Media & podcast team to formulate podcast / online media strategies to elevate artists promotional campaigns
Facilitating scheduling and covering all promo with the artist and their teams.
Seeking out and securing podcast and podcast / digital media opportunities for UMUK artists at all different stages of their trajectory.
Collaborating with the media team to create and edit social media assets where necessary.
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with podcasts / digital media within external partnerships at all levels.
Liaising and maintaining a strong relationship with artists management and associated teams.
To constantly liaise with the Head of Visual Media on all ideas feedback activity results etc
Be Strategic
Being trend aware and working quickly to maximise opportunities across podcasts & digital channels.
Think strategically about up and coming Artist media moments and how we can maximise their opportunity across different audiences.
Identify opportunities continuously; track successes and failures to make sure the strategy is always being improved on and maximised across Visual promo.
Nurture existing relationships across podcasts and digital media and build on new relationships with partners across the media landscape.
Be Organised
Attending internal and external meetings and updating the label or external partners on uptodate podcast / digital media strategies.
Managing visual promo budgets alongside the Head of Media where relevant.
Responsible for inviting and hosting media/guests to concerts gigs showcases and events.
Organising all stages of podcast / digital media promotion from booking scheduling and covering in a logical and efficient fashion.
General adhoc duties as required.
Coordinating all booked media opportunities with artist teams and internal digital marketing teams to ensure social media coverage of each piece of visual promo is optimised.
Be Creative
Spotting trends and generating original exciting social media platform and creator ideas to amplify UMUK artists and their music.
Contributing and delivering innovative ideas of ways to infiltrate modern media as an artist.
Creating ad hoc content when necessary
Create content templates for social posts across the visual promotions landscape including TV podcasts and digital channels to enhance and support promotional activity.
Proven experience and understanding of the visual promotions landscape including TV podcasts and digital channels.
Excellent communication and relationship building skills with a proven and established network across all social media and promo areas.
Deep understanding of social media and the visual promotions landscape including TV podcasts and digital channels.
Excellent organisational and project management experience
Proven experience in building promo campaigns across social media
Strategic mindset with an eye for spotting promo opportunities
An understanding of how budgets work scope of work and realistic deliverables.
Work well under pressure at all times both alone and as part of a team.
Passionate about music and popular culture.
Flexible and able to prioritise own workload.
Software experience with Photoshop and video editing software such as Premiere excel/ Google sheets a bonus.
