Job Title: Production Team Member
Department: Tata Steel Tubes
Location: Hartlepool (TS25)
Salary:% shift allowance rising to 27946 upon successful completion of site specific training
Contract: Fixed Term
Closing Date: Wednesday 14th May 2025

If youve worked in a warehouse factory steel plant or other heavy industry setting and youre looking for secure wellpaid work in a proper team environment this could be the perfect fit for you.
What you will do:
Youll work as part of a team to help run our production lines and move steel safely through the site. This is handson physical work and youll be responsible for your own safety and the safety of those around you.
Youll report to a Team Leader and work with colleagues across production and warehousing to keep things running smoothly.
Your tasks could include:
- Operating machinery and equipment (after training) including cranes forklifts or mobile plant
- Carrying out checks and inspections to meet safety and quality standards
- Helping to load unload and move steel around the site
- Following safety procedures and supporting improvement projects
- Working flexibly across different lines when needed
Youll need to be comfortable with manual handling and working at height and youll be expected to follow set procedures at all times to keep yourself and your team safe.
What you will need:
Were looking for people who are reliable switchedon and ready to learn. Youll need:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English (Grade C or above)
- Experience working in a manufacturing warehouse or logistics environment
- A strong understanding of safety in the workplace
- A positive teamfocused attitude and good communication skills
- Flexibility to work across different areas and shifts when needed
It would also be great if you have:
- Experience in steel ports transport or heavy industry
- A current Forklift HGV or Side Loader licence
- Slinging/lifting training
- Basic skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
