Europe TbM CD is responsible for ocean and inland operations across Europe with a focus on ensuring we deliver what we have promised to our customers. You will collaborate together with different stakeholders to bridge commercial pursuits with operational efficiency thereby achieving firstrate customer experience process excellence and cost efficiency.
Your Responsibilities:
- Fulfill customer promise as per bookings placed.
- Liaise with product analyst Market and Ocean Network team to steer cargo to achieve maximum revenue on available capacity.
- Seek to achieve high utilisation across all services through forecast management and downfall analysis.
- Plan for seasonality changes with stowage planners and commercial team.
- Support execution of empty flow plan through close collaboration with equipment team.
- Reduce waste such as renominations and longstanding at ports through timely planning and execution.
- Coordinate contingencies with stakeholders in case of operational constraints to maintain vessel schedule integrity.
- Participate in creation and maintenance of Service handbooks to facilitate daily decisionmaking process.
- Contribute with ideas to improve processes within the team and across departments.
- Analyse service performance and represent capacity with inputs for services improvement.
- Ensure efficient bunker consumption on network.
- Liaise with port agents and authorities to manage vessel operations.
- Manages all ETA communication to vessels within a specific area of responsibility.
- Plans and communicates short and longterm schedules to vessels and other stakeholders.
- Engage with vessel command and coordinate with all partners in the chain (terminals pilots and tugs) for minimization of CO2 emissions.
Who we are looking for:
- The ideal candidate should possess a relevant degree in Logistics Maritime Studies Supply Chain Management or related field.
- Any operations experience particularly in the shipping industry will be a significant advantage.
- Highly analytical and comfortable working with complexity and ambiguity in a fastpaced environment.
- Proven problemsolving skills and the ability to act quickly in highpressure situations.
- Demonstrated ability to foresee and mitigate potential logistics disruptions.
- Able to work independently and a strong ownership of tasks. Willing to go beyond the call of duty.
- Strong interpersonal skills and team player able to collaborate with colleagues across different functions.
- Process improvement and cost focused mindset.
- You are fluent in English. Spanish would be a plus!
