The Juneau Trial Court of the Alaska Court System is accepting applications for a Court Case Manager 2 (range 12) to help fulfill the mission of the court.

The Position
You will respond to a variety of questions via phone and in person providing information on court cases forms procedures and general court subject matter without giving legal advice. You will accept documents for filing review for completion initiate cases in the case management system and route filings for processing. Additionally you will receipt money for fines filing fees restitution bail and other fees generate receipts and balance individual cash drawer.

This position will assist with incourting duties where needed. This will include setting up organizing and maintaining the courtroom announcing the opening and closing of court proceedings preparing accurate and complete log notes of court proceedings and preparing and distributing paperwork resulting from proceedings.

Other duties may be assigned. Crosstraining and coverage will be expected with others in the office.

The Work Hours
Fulltime court employees are currently scheduled to work 37.5 hours per week. The work hours for these positions are Monday Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a onehour lunch break.

The Dimond Courthouse is located on 4th Street near the Historic District in Juneau. As a Court Case Manager 2 you will become part of the Juneau Trial Court helping to fulfill the mission of the Alaska Court System.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from high school or completion of a General Education Development (GED) certificate AND one year of office clerical experience AND the ability to type at least 40 words per minute (net).

Substitution:
Additional office clerical work experience will substitute for the high school diploma or GED certificate on a monthformonth basis.

Completion of 36 semester credit hours or 48 quarter credit hours of coursework from an accredited college will substitute for the year of required office clerical experience.

Completion of an appropriate vocational training course of study such as legal secretary paralegal or office skills will substitute for the required office clerical experience on a monthformonth basis.

HISTORY
If using work experience not already documented in your application provide the employers name your job title dates of employment and whether full or parttime. EDUCATION

If postsecondary education is required to meet the Minimum Qualifications you must fill in the Education and Training section of the application. SELECTION PROCEDURE

Applicants will be required to meet the Minimum Qualifications as outlined above. Unfortunately we cannot always interview all applicants.
