Job Description

Knight Boat Docks manufactures dock ramps custom docks and custom fabricated aluminum parts. Our philosophy is to do the best job the first time. Knight Boat Docks offers the marinagrade Knight Dock the riverready Knight SK Marine Pontoon Dock and is the distributor of the EZ Dock product line throughout the Pacific Northwest Montana Utah Alaska Hawaii Northern California and Canada.


SERVICE INSTALLER

Under the direction of the Operations Manager the Service Installer is part of a team that installs dock ramps custom docks and custom fabricated dock parts. This position works in a fastpaced environment that requires a daily commitment to meet customer needs by scheduled deadlines. This is a fulltime position with occasional overtime and weekend shifts based on business need. The normal schedule will be 7:00am 4:30pm Monday through Friday.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

These duties are those typically performed in this position. Employee may not perform all the listed duties and/or may be required to perform additional or different duties.

  • Using a variety of hand tools and machinery to measure cut drill and fasten materials
  • Interface with customers suppliers and fellow employees to ensure that quality cost and customer satisfaction targets are met
  • Maintain clean work environment by removing and properly disposing of debris and waste materials; properly maintain and store all tools and equipment when not in use
  • Work within and promote corporate vision mission and values of the organization
  • Performs other duties as assigned


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE SKILLS AND EDUCATION

The following generally describes the knowledge and ability required to enter the job and/or learned within a short period of time to successfully perform the assigned duties.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
  • Valid Boater Education Card highly preferred or must have the ability to obtain within 90 days
  • 6 months experience in a construction or laborintensive environment preferred
  • Must have excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to meet all safety requirements for applicable safety policies

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Perform strenuous physical labor in an outdoor environment in or around water during all seasons
  • Frequent lifting and carrying objects 80100 lbs.
  • Lifting from ground level waist level and/or overhead
  • Frequent standing walking pushing pulling bending kneeling crouching/squatting crawling up to 8 hours per day
  • Climbing and maintaining balance on ladders or stools reaching in all directions
  • Handling and manipulating objects and materials
  • Coordinating the movements of eyes hands and fingers
  • Seeing with or without correction
