The Illinois Department of Central Management Services Office of Communication & Information seeks a professional and creative individual to serve as a statewide multimedia officer. The ideal candidate will travel the State to news conferences and events to record and livestream audio/video content for distribution to broadcast media. The successful candidate will be able to plan develop write edit produce and direct broadcast quality audio/video content including public services announcements commercials and radio news stories. The successful candidate will direct and assist with the transmission/receiving of live broadcasts; operate and maintain audio video and related equipment. The successful candidate will serve as a lead worker monitoring and directing assigned staff in researching source materials gathering data assembling information producing audio/video and social/digital content. The incumbent should be aware of best practices in communications and able to develop visually compelling content for public consumption by using multimedia tools including digital and media platforms.
