Who are we looking for
Were looking for aSenior Civil Engineerto join our growing Maritime & Coastal (M&C) group inCalifornia! In this role you will be a technical team member and leader on the engineering design permitting bid package preparation and construction oversight for a diverse portfolio of projects throughout the United States. Such projects will include: coastal estuary and other waterways restoration and resiliency projects in addition to municipal infrastructure and other landbased improvements.
Working with an energetic and high performing team this position offers a variety of work and will see you:
- Assist with the condition assessment planning analysis design and construction oversite of habitat restoration living shorelines and related water resources and coastal resiliency projects
- Coordinate and work with crossdiscipline teams on other market sector projects
- Assist with coastal permitting and environmental documents writing and data preparation for grant applications collaborating closely with community stakeholders and industry
- Proactively coach train and provide mentorship and development advice to junior level staff
- Deliver projects on time and within budget
- Maintain project requirements for safety quality and efficiency throughout the duration of the project
- Keep up to date with technical qualifications and licenses
Qualifications:
- Bachelors and/or Masters degree in Civil / Environmental Engineering or similar technical field
- PE license is required
- 15 years relevant industry related engineering and design experience with a strong emphasis on habitat restoration projects
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D and HECRAS 2D is desirable
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience working on teams and developing and/or interpreting coastal models; including hydrodynamic and sediment transport

Salary Range: $48.00 $73.00 per hour based on experience.
