Job Description

ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Sales Representative DesignBuild Laneway & Garden Suites you will engage directly with homeowners and smalltomediumsized developers who are planning highvalue construction projects including garden suites and multiplexes. You will play a key role in guiding clients through purchasing decisions managing a longer sales cycle with multiple milestones and driving revenue growth for our client. This position offers a base salary of $90000 to $120000 with ontarget earnings (OTE) of $140000 in the first year

Known for awardwinning projects they combine artistic vision with technical precisiondelivering poolscapes outdoor kitchens stonework and sustainable plantings through a collaborative process featuring 3D renderings and fixedprice contracts. Their turnkey approach prioritizes quality materials artisan craftsmanship and seamless execution for homeowners seeking transformative outdoor environments.

OFFICE LOCATION & SALES TERRITORY:

  • Officebased 4 days/week (Toronto ON)
  • Standard work hours: Monday to Friday 40 hours/week
  • Salary territory Primarily GTA

EXPERIENCE BACKGROUND & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5 years of B2C or B2B sales experience(residential construction highend real estate or design industry preferred)
  • Strong understanding of the customer journey in highinvestment decisionmaking
  • Technically proficient (Excel Google Drive CRMlike systems)
  • Outstanding communicator emotionally intelligent and empathetic
  • Comfortable working independently and innovating within a startup environment
  • Driven by results performance metrics and delivering outstanding client experiences

THE PRODUCT / SERVICE / SOLUTION:
An endtoend design and permitting solution that helps homeowners and developers navigate the complex process of building residential infill projectssuch as garden suites laneway homes and multiplexes. This includes:

Architectural design

Zoning expertise

Permit management

Project planning

Construction

PROSPECTIVE CUSTOMERS / INDUSTRY FOCUS / DECISION MAKER(S):

  • Individual Homeowners
  • Real Estate Investors & Small Developers (110 employees)
  • Clients planning residential infill construction (e.g. laneway houses multiplexes)
  • Geographic Focus: Greater Toronto Area & Ontario

SALES CYCLE / ORDER VALUE / ACCOUNT SIZE:

  • Sales Cycle: 69 months
  • Average Deal Value: $500K$700K
  • Commissions paid annually with potential flexibility for quarterly based on performance

TYPICAL DAY & DUTIES:

  • Drive new business development (50%) via proactive outreach discovery calls and presentations
  • Manage and convert inbound leads from website/social media (25%)
  • Support basic account management and client communication throughout the project lifecycle (25%)
  • Use structured and semistructured resources (scripts email templates quoting tools) to streamline sales process
  • Educate prospects on construction workflows timelines and financial commitments
  • Maintain clear consistent communication throughout long sales cycles

LEADS:

  • 25% Warm Inbound Leads
  • 25% Prebuilt Target Lists
  • 50% SelfSourced Leads via Digital Tools & Prospecting

  • 1week onboarding period with mentoring and job shadowing
