This is a remote position.
We are seeking a motivated Sales Representative to connect with county clerks and government officials to introduce our comprehensive land records digitization and accessibility solutions. This role focuses on building relationships with county offices and demonstrating how our technology can modernize and improve their land record systems.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting and Outreach
Research and identify county clerk offices that would benefit from land records modernization
Initiate contact with county clerks recorders and other relevant government officials
Conduct cold calls and email outreach to county offices
Maintain detailed records of all prospect interactions and follow-ups
Relationship Building
Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with county government officials through phone and email communication
Understand each countys unique challenges with land record accessibility and organization
Build trust through consultative selling approach and industry expertise
Coordinate with management for in-person visits when meetings are scheduled
Solution Presentation
Present and demonstrate our land records solutions via phone and video conferencing including:
Conversion of handwritten record scans to typed searchable text
Digitization of handwritten and typed indexes into searchable databases
Legal description mapping for parcel-based searches
High-speed courthouse search platform hosting
Customize presentations to address specific county needs and pain points
Coordinate with management for in-person demonstrations and technical consultations when needed
Sales Process Management
Qualify prospects and identify decision-makers within county government structures
Develop and present proposals tailored to county budgets and requirements
Navigate government procurement processes and RFP responses
Negotiate contracts and pricing within established guidelines
Collaborate with implementation team to ensure smooth project transitions
Market Intelligence
Stay informed about trends in government digitization initiatives
Monitor competitor activity and market conditions
Provide feedback to product development team based on customer needs
Track industry regulations and compliance requirements affecting land records
Experience and Skills
3 years of B2B sales experience preferably in government or public sector markets
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas
Experience with consultative selling and complex sales cycles
Strong presentation and communication skills
Proficiency with CRM software and sales tracking tools
Knowledge and Attributes
Understanding of government procurement processes preferred
Familiarity with land records real estate or legal document systems a plus
Comfortable working with technology solutions and explaining technical concepts
Self-motivated with ability to work independently and manage territory
Professional demeanor suitable for government office environments
Strong communication skills for remote relationship building and phone-based sales
Excellent phone presence and ability to build rapport remotely
