Our customers are universities and high schools and in most cases were working with staff in the alumni relations and fundraising office at these institutions. The value prop for them at a high level is simple Engage more alumni and raise more money from them. 90% of our customers are from the US currently but were starting sales in UK and Canada this year so well start to see some more customer regions this year. Our team is based in India and the USA. The India team is based in Bangalore and the US team is fully remote.
Joining Almabase as a People Ops Intern means youll have the opportunity to kickstart your journey in Talent Management by working directly on employee engagement onboarding and building a vibrant work culture. Whether its organizing teambuilding activities improving onboarding processes or conducting meaningful 1:1 checkins your work will touch every aspect of the employee lifecycle. As a People Operations intern youll make a real impact on the people experience with a dynamic range of responsibilities to kick off with but arent limited to:
Assist and eventually own onboarding new team members by ensuring a smooth onboarding process.
Conduct 1:1 with employees to proactively understand and resolve for employee concerns.
Plan and execute employee engagement activities from fun Fridays to company offsites.
Maintain accurate and uptodate employee records on HRIS (Keka) and on required platforms.
Work with multiple vendors i.e. IT gifting insurance etc. for smooth people operations
Be the reason someone gets cake at work own birthdays work anniversaries and all things worth celebrating!
As you grow in the role own these areas and work to optimize and streamline the processes better.
Experience:
0 6 months of experience in people ops or talent management just the passion to learn grow and make an impact will do!
If youve had to wear multiple hats whether a college internship college fests clubs or other programs youre already halfway there!
Skills and Competencies:
Excellent written and verbal communication youre comfortable talking to people and making others feel heard.
Organized with an eye for detail and a knack for managing multiple tasks at once.
High empathy and emotional intelligence you understand people and genuinely care about their experience.
Experience leveraging AI to deliver better quality outcomes faster.

Month 1: Foundation & Learning
Get an understanding of Almabase and familiarize yourself with the processes in the People Success Team.
Shadow and assist in the onboarding coordination process for new joiners
Understanding the employee 1:1s to understand the approach and outcomes solving for employee experience.
Support execution of smallscale employee engagement activities (e.g. Fun Friday).
Learn to navigate and update HRIS (Keka) and other processes in place.
Get introduced to key vendors to understand their scope of work and how we collaborate.
Month 2: Independent Ownership
Start with end to end onboarding logistics calendar invites welcome kits access setup etc.
Start conducting 1:1 checkins with employees and learning to navigate through these conversations.
Take end to end lead on the engagement activities planned.
Regularly update records in Keka and at other processes that are in place and ensuring timely accuracy.
Coordinate with vendors for any daytoday requests that come up.
Initiate improvements in current onboarding processes mostly leveraging AI or process automation.
Month 3: Optimization & Impact
Independently manage the onboarding process for new hires and actively implement AI or automated process.
Conduct solo 1:1 checkins and leverage AI to document common trends and share insights with respective teams.
Continue to take a lead on engagement initiatives.
Take full ownership of HRIS data accuracy and reporting needs.
Work independently with vendors and proactively plan to streamline vendor interactions and suggest ways to automate or simplify handoffs.
This is a hybrid role and you will be expected to work from 11 AM to 7 PM (IST).
