Overview
The Solar Sales Specialist plays a crucial role in promoting and selling solar energy solutions to residential and commercial clients. The position requires a blend of technical knowledge and interpersonal skills to cultivate lasting client relationships and achieve sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients and assess market trends.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to acquire new customers.
  • Engage with prospective customers through cold calling networking and referrals.
  • Educate clients on solar energy systems benefits pricing and financing options.
  • Prepare and present customized solar proposals tailored to client needs.
  • Coordinate site assessments and feasibility studies for solar installations.
  • Maintain uptodate knowledge of solar products technologies and industry regulations.
  • Build and manage a sales pipeline to achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and support throughout the sales cycle.
  • Follow up with leads and conduct regular checkins with existing clients.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in business marketing environmental science or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales preferably in renewable energy or technology.
  • Strong understanding of solar energy systems and their benefits.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms.
  • Competence in using CRM software and sales tracking tools.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Selfmotivated with a proactive approach to generating leads.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites and participate in events as needed.
  • Familiarity with local energy regulations and incentive programs.
