Job Summary:
The Territory Sales Engineer is responsible for promoting and selling a companys products or services to current and potential clients within a specific region. This position involves identifying sales opportunities understanding customer technical requirements and delivering solutions that meet those needs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Business Development
o Achieve or exceed sales targets in the assigned territory.
o Identify new business opportunities and potential customers.
o Develop and execute strategic territory plans.
2. Customer Relationship Management
o Build and maintain strong relationships with clients engineers and purchasing managers.
o Provide pre-sales and post-sales support.
o Conduct regular client visits and product demonstrations.
3. Technical Support & Product Knowledge
o Understand the technical aspects of the companys products/services.
o Translate customer requirements into suitable technical solutions.
o Work with internal engineering or product teams to customize solutions.
4. Reporting & Documentation
o Maintain CRM data and prepare regular sales reports.
o Monitor market trends competitor activities and industry developments.
o Provide feedback to marketing and product development teams.
5. Training & Collaboration
o Conduct technical presentations and training sessions for clients.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams like marketing service and product development.
Required Skills
Proven sales experience in a technical/industrial sector.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to understand and explain complex technical information.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Willingness to travel frequently within the territory.
