Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Review and process all incoming collection email requests which include: payment and return transfers locate payments modify tax returns low volume returns charge off report federal extensions clear delinquencies reestablish billing update entity in TAS inter and external (600) refunds merge accounts process review items (PRI) process levies 5009L certifications and research miscellaneous requests to ensure taxpayers problems are resolved
  • Prepare file review and process all Administrative Support documents including computing payoff amounts and general financial inquiries for any requests related to Administrative Support
  • Answering incoming taxpayer and internal calls
  • Respond by phone or in writing to all Administrative Support inquiries from internal and external customers Research and respond verbally or in writing to line tax clearance applications collections maintenance requests debt set off inquiries and all requests that are received in the Administrative Support Unit
  • Utilize multiple databases and internetbased tools to perform research and review all requests and inquiries Provide payoff requests
  • Data entry into the TAS database or any other supporting internal and external database utilized by the Administrative Support Unit
  • Document individual production and monthly work processed within the Administrative Support
  • Manage retention of the Administrative Support files including the weekly processing of the low balance lien release report
