Job Description
Production Manager oversees and coordinates all aspects of the production process from planning to completion ensuring products are made on time within budget and to quality standards. They manage resources schedules and personnel to achieve efficient and effective production.
Key Responsibilities of a Production Manager:
Planning and Scheduling:
Develop and manage production schedules ensuring timely completion of orders.
Resource Management:
Oversee and allocate materials equipment and human resources to optimize production.
Budgeting and Cost Control:
Estimate costs manage budgets and implement costsaving measures.
Quality Assurance:
Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure products meet standards.
Team Leadership:
Motivate and guide production staff addressing issues and ensuring a positive work environment.
Process Improvement:
Identify and implement strategies to improve production efficiency reduce waste and enhance overall performance.
Communication:
Communicate effectively with various stakeholders including management staff and clients to ensure smooth operations.
Safety and Health:
Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment.
Skills and Qualifications:
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Experience in production planning scheduling and resource management.
Knowledge of quality control procedures and manufacturing processes.
Proficiency in budgeting cost control and financial analysis.
Ability to problemsolve analyze data and make informed decisions.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Bachelors degree in a related field (e.g. supply chain management engineering business).
