Job Description
Amazon seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to play a key role on the Alexa and Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) Insights Planning Econometrics and Decision (IPED) finance team. We have other teams hiring as well such as our Fire TV team Emerging Products team and Lab 126 team. At the end of the process these teams will determine best fit. These roles will be responsible for driving broad insights that can shape the financial strategies including the GAAP and econometric P&L used to inform short and long term investment decisions. The successful candidate will build scalable analyses key performance indicators and insights. These insights will be shared with the Alexa and AGI Business and Finance Leadership teams to inform strategic decision making.
This position will work closely with multiple stakeholders across the organization (e.g. Devices and Services FP&A leaders within the Alexa and AGI Finance organizations and crossorganizational business and finance teams) to align on critical inputs ranges of outcomes and confidence intervals. Key job responsibilities
Build financial models/business cases on new monetization programs new partnerships growth initiatives and new product features.
Work with domains business teams to help develop short and longterm plans and interim forecast updates
Collaborate with domain business teams on business development initiatives in line with strategic goals by providing profitability and ROI analyses and risk assessment.
Drive continuous reporting improvement on the weekly/monthly financial and operational metrics
Help finance team drive standardization simplify processes and build scalable solutions
Provide a strong controllership environment and improve controls over operational and financial metrics
Be gotoperson for financial questions inputs and queries for both domains teams.
3 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience
Bachelors degree
Demonstrated effective communication and writing skills in working with senior finance and business leaders
Exceptional analytical skills and advanced knowledge of Excel with demonstrated ability to build financial models and create business cases
Ability to work independently in a fastpaced and rapidly changing environment
Demonstrated financial and/or analytical experience including familiarity with concepts of forecasting budgeting and variance analysis and/or data interpretation and analysis
Ability to meet tight deadlines prioritize workload and achieve effective results in a fastpaced dynamic evergrowing and often ambiguous environment

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
