Job Description


Position: Financial Controller

Location: Wicklow



A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Financial Controller to join our well established accounts department at our clients Hotel & Golf Resort. The major function of this role is the responsibility for maintaining efficient and accurate Accounting functions.



The Financial Controller will report directly to General Manager and Group Director of Finance and lead the day to day operation of the hotel finance function responsible for a variety of tasks to include the following key responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day accounting and a small Finance team.
  • Be involved in and control day to day accounting processes.
  • Weekly and monthly forecasting/budgeting.
  • Financial analysis and reporting.
  • Preparation of monthly Profit & Loss accounts and balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Preparation of annual accounts and liaise with auditors required.
  • Control costs and payroll in line with budget.


Key requirements and skills:

  • Industry experience essential.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Good analytical and numerical skills
  • High level competence in Microsoft Excel and other office packages
  • Previous experience with hotel PMS system (Hotsoft) Accounting systems (Sun) and Alkimii are beneficial but not essential
  • Excellent organisational time management and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • A drive to succeed excel and grow with the company.
