Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This person will be responsible for participant recruitment coordination of the research procedures behavioral/EEG testing data entry and maintenance of study records. The individual will work under the clinical supervision of Dr. Javitt and research supervision of Dr. Martinez.

JOB DUTIES:

Interface with recruitment sites to identify potential participants. Meet with study participants to assist in recruitment. Maintain study records. Collect behavioral EEG fMRI and eye tracking data. Collect fitness testing data including V02max assessment. Assist in data analysis using Matlab EEGlab BESA and other analysis programs; perform statistical analysis of data using SPSS and Matlab; supervise and maintain laboratory; participate in scheduling experiments and running behavioral neuropsychological experiments.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate should have experience in working directly with individuals affected by serious mental illness including depression or schizophrenia. Experience in data analysis using using programs such as SPSS or Matlab and in fitness testing. Experience in administering neuropsychological assessments is preferred. Minimum qualification is a BA or BSc preferably with a major in Psychology Neuroscience or similar field.

Background Investigation/Justice Center Review Requirements:

Prospective appointees will be: 1) Checked against the Staff Exclusion List (SEL) maintained by the Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs. Prospective employees whose names appear on the SEL as having been found responsible for serious or repeated acts of abuse or neglect will be barred from appointment. 2) Screened against the Statewide Central Register of Child Abuse and Maltreatment (SCR). Prospective employees whose names are indicated on the SCR may be barred from appointment.
