As a Manufacturing Purchasing Specialist you will handle material purchases for an industrial manufacturing equipment. You will work with Planning and Engineering to create RFQs for suppliers negotiate successful contracts for the company and ensure the vendor and pricing line up with material amount and delivery timeframe. You will also work with the Quality Department on any supplier issues to meet quality expectations and requirements.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Associates Degree is a plus or equivalent experience
- 25 years of purchasing experience within manufacturing
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and machine specifications
- Experience with an ERP tracking system (company will train on theirs specifically)
- Ethical and honest business practice
- Ability to influence others
- Experience in Excel
- NOT REMOTE
