On the Job Training

Employee OWNED company Silver Star Construction has an on the Job Training opportunity to learn a new skill. (Local within a 50 mile radius)

While performing the duties of this job the employee is exposed to all outside weather conditions including wet and/or humid conditions very hot (above 90 degrees F) or very cold (below 32 degrees F) temperatures. Frequently exposed to fumes dust or airborne particles. Moving mechanical parts and vibration. Requires working in extremely bright or inadequate lighting conditions. Includes exposure to sounds and noise levels that are possibly moderate to loud and distracting or uncomfortable. Requires wearing required protective safety equipment.

Performs labor incidental to the work of operating equipment and other laboring tasks when required. The position lifts heavy objects walks and stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. The employee lifts pushes pulls or carries objects; uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand hand with arm two hands) and multilimb coordination. The position requires the ability to quickly move arms and legs. The employee must have excellent stamina.

While performing the duties of this position the employee is frequently required to speak and hear. The employee is constantly required to use hands and fingers to feel handle or operate objects tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb in and out of equipment balance stoop kneel crouch crawl walk and requires repetitive movement. Ascending and descending ladders or stairs is required and movement on uneven terrain is frequently required to carry out essential duties. Driving a vehicle is required. Work in the construction area poses significantly greater risk due to moving construction equipment and active construction zones with trip and fall hazards.

The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job could include: close vision distance vision peripheral vision color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
