Job Summary:

Support Tech LLC is seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient IT Deployment Specialist to join our team in Jacksonville FL. In this crucial role you will be responsible for the meticulous preparation configuration and staging of computer systems and ITrelated devices prior to their deployment to customer sites. Working exclusively from our main office in Jacksonville you will play a vital part in ensuring smooth and efficient field installations by delivering fully prepared and tested equipment. This position requires a strong technical aptitude excellent organizational skills and the ability to follow detailed procedures. Experience with remote management and deployment tools particularly Datto is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Preparation and Configuration: Thoroughly prepare computer systems laptops peripherals and other ITrelated devices according to project specifications and customer requirements. This includes imaging software installation hardware configuration and asset tagging.
  • Operating System Management: Utilize tools such as Datto to perform operating system installations updates patching and ensure systems are running the latest stable versions.
  • Software Deployment: Install and configure various software applications ensuring proper licensing and functionality prior to deployment.
  • Hardware Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct comprehensive testing of all prepared equipment to identify and resolve any hardware or software issues before shipment.
  • Inventory Management: Accurately track and manage inventory of incoming and outgoing equipment ensuring proper documentation and organization within the deployment workspace.
  • Shipping and Receiving: Receive incoming IT equipment verify contents against purchase orders and prepare outgoing shipments including proper packaging and labeling according to shipping guidelines.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of the preparation process including configurations software installations and any issues encountered and resolved.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers field technicians and other team members to ensure seamless coordination and communication throughout the deployment process.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the development and refinement of deployment processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Maintain a Clean and Organized Workspace: Ensure the deployment and staging area is wellorganized and maintained to facilitate efficient workflows and equipment handling.
  • Adhere to Security Protocols: Follow all company security policies and procedures during the preparation and handling of sensitive IT equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Experience using remote management and deployment tools; familiarity with Datto is a significant plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

  • Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to effectively document processes and communicate with team members.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced environment.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 60 pounds safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities: Perform on-site deployment and setup of computer workstations, laptops, and related peripherals. This includes unpacking equipment, connecting cables, and ensuring proper physical installation. Execute and monitor Windows 11 upgrades on client workstations utilizing the Datto platform. Configure new workstations for remote access, ensuring they are ready for end-users. Troubleshoot general IT issues encountered during the deployment process, including hardware malfunctions, software installation problems, and basic network connectivity issues. Assist with basic networking tasks related to deployments, such as connecting devices to the network and verifying connectivity. Maintain accurate records of deployment activities and report progress as required. Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures while handling and installing equipment. Communicate effectively with project managers and other team members regarding deployment status and any challenges encountered. Provide basic end-user support related to the newly deployed equipment. Qualifications: Proven experience with IT hardware deployment and workstation setup. Required: Hands-on experience using the Datto platform for managing and monitoring Windows upgrades and deployments. Strong understanding of Windows operating systems, particularly Windows 11. Experience configuring workstations for remote access. Ability to troubleshoot general IT issues related to deployments, including software and basic networking. Basic understanding of networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow instructions and procedures precisely. Must be able to lift and move equipment weighing up to 60 pounds.
