Responsible for designing and implementing operational strategies Management reporting structure that drives timely payment reconciliation. Ensures compliance on internal & external control/governance build connection across upstream teams to deliver key business objectives and drive cross functional projects with delivering efficiency.
Drive team engagement Team Member development in a fastpaced environment and create a culture that delivers a great experience for Team members and guests with every interaction.
FUNCTIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain Financial Integrity
Review and sign off reconciliation of Card Settlement transactions of Target Stores/.com and Target plus Tender Types with General Ledger and Bank Statement. Report variances identified with Technology and Business Team on 24hour TAT. Liaison with TD Bank and Treasury for Working Capital Management.
Audit: Liaison with Statutory and Internal Auditors and Sub certification of quarterly SOX302/404 certification related to Card Settlement entries.
Internal controls: Identify potential process risks establish control procedures to mitigate risk in financial reporting of Card Receivables.
Leadership: Responsible to engage and motivate Team members with performance development and executing strategies based upon the performance potential assessment of team members.
Systems: Responsible for staying current on any system changes for systems that interface with SAP that impact the AR Control
Drive operational efficiency: Responsible for driving continuous improvement to balance sheet reconciliations and general accounting through automations and system enhancements
Projects and Transitions:Responsible for managing the knowledge transfer plan balance sheet reconciliations and other general accounting activities with endtoend transition plan and hiring strategy. Must be flexible to work on special projects
REPORTING/WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to Director Accounting & Control with working partnership with Accounting Technical Treasury and Business Teams
JOB REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors/masters degree in accounting.
- 10 years accounting/reconciliation experience with two years of leadership role
- Hands on experience of any ERP & Data warehouse such as SAP Oracle mainframe etc.
- Agile and strategic mindset able to multitask reprioritize effectively and adapt to fastpaced environments.
- Strong problemsolving skills with a proven track record in data analysis and applied inferential statistics
- Retail accounting knowledge
- Project management certified
- Qualification in Accounting
