About the Role
The Traffic & Flood Risk Management Service area seeks to deliver an excellent customer focused service in an efficient effective and economic manner with specific focus of the Councils role as the Highway Authority whilst adhering to Corporate Departmental and Government priorities.
This post will work under the supervision of the Technical Lead and the primary purpose is to use developed road safety investigation and engineering skills to take measure that prevent accidents. Ideally a qualified Road Safety Engineering Auditor You will undertake studies into accidents on the highway to help deliver safety improvements. You will have the ability and skills to explain contentious and complicated highway proposals demonstrating diplomacy accountability and approachability in an everchanging work environment.
We are looking for a proactive and efficient individual who can put citizens and customers first and work with a range of internal and external stakeholders. They must also be organised and have excellent communication skills to ensure that the outputs of the service area are maintained to professional standards.
