Alfred Health is a leader in health care delivery improvement research and education. We are the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne from ambulatory to inpatient and home and communitybased services.
About the Role
Applications are invited for General Practitioners to work in an integrated and communitycentred skin assessment and treatment clinic using the Beacon Model. This clinic will run in parallel integrated with a Nurse Led Biologics clinic an established Dermatology Specialist clinic at the Alfred Hospital.
The successful candidates will work 3.5 hours (1 session) per week on Friday afternoon for a period of 12 months.
Qualifications and Skills Required
Our preferred candidate must possess the following experience and attributes:
- Appointees must be legally qualified medical practitioners registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) without conditions undertakings or reprimands that could impact on their clinical practice.
- Fellowship of the either the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners or the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine or equivalent certification from a recognised overseas body.
- Meets Alfred Health requirements for credentialing and scope of practice Specialty General Practice.
- Experience in teaching and an interest/involvement in research are desirable.
- Outstanding communication skills including welldeveloped conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to liaise well with other staff at all levels.
- Demonstrated flexibility in problem solving and the capability to develop and sustain highly collaborative relationships with others/ other teams.
