This Nurse Practitioner (NP) Resource Pool position will provide coverage across several surgical oncology clinics at the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center. Dependent upon clinical needs coverage may include digestive head & neck orthopedic genitourinary or breast surgery. In collaboration with the supervising physician the NP will provide clinical guidance and care for patients receiving treatment(s) for cancer including pre and postoperative management and optimization symptom management care coordination assistance with triage and other duties as assigned.

The NCIDesignation recognizes the scientific leadership resources and the depth and breadth of the research in basic clinical and population science. As a Comprehensive Cancer Center we demonstrate the added depth and breadth of research as well as substantial transdisciplinary research that bridges these scientific areas. The clinical services encompass adult and pediatric tumors across three campuses as well as regional satellite locations. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $100.48 $130.31 (Hourly Rate).

UCSF Medical Center and Campus requires certain healthcare providers to be credentialed. In most cases this is done through its Office of Medical Affairs & Governance (OMAG) prior to the first working day. Credentialing and approval of the Standardized Procedures takes between 6090 days but can vary.

The clinical cancer program is one of the largest clinical services at UCSF Medical Center and encompasses roughly 230 nonphysician FTEs 90 cost center and dozens of grant and philanthropic funding sources.
