Sommelier

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Sommelier to join our team.  As our Sommelier you will play a crucial role in enhancing our guests dining experience through your extensive wine knowledge and exceptional service skills.

• Curate and maintain an extensive wine list that complements our menu and meets our guests preferences
• Provide friendly responsive and educational wine service to create an exceptional dining experience for all guests
• Offer expert recommendations on wine pairings to enhance guests meal choices
• Manage wine storage including inventory control stock rotation and temperature monitoring
• Conduct staff training sessions on wine knowledge service techniques and food pairing principles
• Collaborate with the chef and management team to develop wine programs and special events
• Maintain relationships with wine suppliers and stay informed about industry trends
• Ensure proper wine service including decanting temperature control and glassware selection
• Assist in creating and updating the restaurants wine menu and promotional materials
• Monitor and analyze wine sales data to optimize inventory and pricing strategies
• Assist with general floor service duties 

Qualifications :

• Certification from a recognized sommelier program (e.g. Court of Master Sommeliers)
• Extensive knowledge of wines spirits and cocktails from various regions and styles
• Previous experience as a Sommelier in a fine dining environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customerfocused approach
• Proficiency in food and wine pairing principles
• Physical stamina to work long hours in a standing position and ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced teamoriented environment
• Impeccable grooming standards and professional appearance
• Flexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays as required
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food and beverage service
