QA Team Lead

The Role

The main purpose of the role is to support the Software Engineering team with required testing defect tracking and managing the QA team. Ensuring systems operate as expected based on requirements. This will include liaising with Juniper Operations along with any relevant thirdparty suppliers to ensure that systems are delivered to a high quality and meet business requirements.

It is expected that you have experience managing QA teams within an Agile environment as you will be working within a team working in Scrum capturing defects using Jira and Confluence. This will include experience in people and performance management of your teams. You will be responsible for escalating any system related issues and for verifying any specific data issues.

You will work within the Technology department and be responsible for improving and building new manual and automation testing processes. You are expected to have a solid understanding of the following areas: Writing effective test Cases Agile User Stories and Acceptance Criteria Automated Testing Regression Testing Functional and NonFunctional Testing.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

• Responsible for the quality of software testing for web mobile and desktopbased products.
• Ensuring the QA Team function to the best of their ability and help set them up for success
• Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and deliver quality products.
• Perform both manual and automated testing on various software platforms.
• Ensure timely completion of tests with clear reporting of progress and results.
• Providing testing updates to key stakeholders and exec teams
• Contribute to improving testing processes and identifying potential improvements in testing methods.
• Updating project and processing documentation.
• Active communication participation in meetings and discussions on technological improvements and innovations.
• Collaborating and assisting team members to complete operational tasks
• Develop and execute test scenarios test plans and strategies to ensure product quality.
• Identify document and track software defects.

Key Attributes:

• Bachelors degree in computer science information technology or a related field or course.
• Experience in software testing or quality control minimum 7 years.
• Experience in leading QA team minimum 2 years.
• Experience in automated testing minimum 2 years.
• Great knowledge in manual testing and experience with automated testing tools (e.g. Selenium JUnit).
• Proficiency in PHP JavaScript CSS HTML
• Knowledge of SQL and experience with databases.
• Good skills in working with version control systems Git
• Strong analytical skills attention to detail and problemsolving ability.
• Willingness and ability to learn and work with new technologies
• Great ability to work independently
• Very good skills for working together with members of different teams in the company
• Fluency in Bulgarian and English
• Adaptability to a changing environment new projects tasks requirements
• Great understanding of agile software development methodologies

Knowledge of foreign languages:
Proficiency in English at least level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
