Our Bridge team is seeking a Director Bridge Canada for the greater Toronto area. This is an incredible opportunity for an established professional in the Bridge sector to position themselves as a leader responsible for developing and delivering a culture of partnership and collaboration across the . The individual will play an integral part in building a larger bridge presence in the Toronto market as well as support growth in rest of the Canada.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The role is diverse and multilayered. While responsibilities will be varied and numerous they can be summarized as follows:
People
Grow TYLins presence in the market.
Promote a culture of collaboration among all our people.
Contribute to recruiting and hiring decisions.
Project Pursuits
Lead for growth in the Bridge Sector and provide support to growth in other areas.
Serve as business development lead for major ADM and bridge projects in the market
Promote collaboration for crossSector and multisisterbrand pursuits.
Technical Quality & Project Management
Serve as Program Manager and/or Project Manager on larger more complex projects.
Provide project management including interface with clients and the development of project scope schedule and budgets.
Manage the development of production work plans schedules and budgets.
Work with project managers and senior management to establish contract budgets and scopes of work.
Support project managers and senior management as required for successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
Responsible for the successful completion of projects under his/her direction.
Provide leadership to project teams.
Oversee performance of complex design.
Provide Unit level input for annual planning and quarterly forecasting.
Conduct all technical analyses documentation and client relationships following TYLIs quality assurance and quality control processes.
Contracts & Claims
Help resolve any contracts claims or related issues.
QUALIFICATIONS
Masters Degree in Structural Engineering with emphasis in bridge design is required.
Professional Eng. license required.
15 years of bridge design construction and project management leadership required.
Successful experience managing bridge design projects and design teams is essential.
Client focused always striving to give clients the best solutions.
Existing relationships with local engineering clients preferred as well as knowledge of their policies and procedures.
Must have extensive experience leading highly technical teams and strong oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team working together toward technical excellence.
