Major Responsibility: Provide classroom preparation in work readiness skills career exploration and other related topics to TANF customers.
Tasks:
Prepare materials and classrooms for orientation workshops and other activities;
Use computers Microsoft Teams audiovideo equipment projector and other equipment and materials to supplement presentations;
Explain housekeeping rules for managing classroom behavior;
Enter all customer information in Rewards issued by instructors spreadsheet in compliance with EARN protocol;
Ensure that customers sign in when attending orientation and workshops;
Perform administrative duties such as emailing orientation attendance to designated staff members imputing workshop attendance into CWDS creating and emailing Microsoft Team links to registered virtual customers and making copies of enrollment forms and service provider flyers;
Administer customer satisfaction and workshop surveys;
Participate in EARN orientation sessions; assist customers to learn about Goal 4 It!; administer the Magnolia surveys;
Facilitate enrollment and enrollment and use of PHL Career Portal;
Assist with assessment of customer skill levels career interests and aptitudes;
Develop individual plans for customer progress;
Teach work readiness and other skills to customers in group and individual settings using established EARN curriculums;
Assist customers with career exploration activities;
Document customer progress in case notes and ongoing assessment of customer progress;
Communicate problems or progress to Workforce Advisor;
Attend Impact staff meetings as required;
Assist with other program duties as required.
Qualifications:
BA degree in education social services or related field; or equivalent experience;
Minimum of one year experience in teaching;
Bilingual in Spanish helpful;
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Full-Time
