Are you ready to lead strategic initiatives in LMS management training and course improvement as the Assistant Director of Learning Support In this role youll oversee learning management systems deliver targeted training programs to faculty and implement course enhancements to optimize digital learning as you lead your team in the support of online and hybrid learning content. You will support related projects to streamline processes as you ensure transformative learning outcomes at Mays Business School.

Salary: $71219 to $87069 (commensurate to selected hires experience

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Six years of experience supporting users in higher education and/or instructional or related environments and in one or more learning management or related systems including 3 years of experience in leadership roles such as project management training and development program management instructional innovation or related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS MA or PhD degree in instructional design instructional technology curriculum & instruction

  • Five or more years of leadership experience in instructional technology training and development or digital learning environments.

  • Experience managing vendor relationships and resolving complex technical issues in a timely manner.

  • Two or more years of experience hiring supervising and evaluating fulltime staff.

  • Experience supporting online curriculum development or instructional design.

  • Demonstrated success collaborating with faculty and instructional support teams to implement educational technologies effectively.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent communication interpersonal and collaboration skills with strong leadership and supervisory abilities in a teamoriented environment.

  • Proficiency with learning management systems and instructional technologies that support digital teaching and learning.

  • Understanding of instructional design principles and online pedagogy.

  • Ability to manage complex projects and multiple priorities efficiently.

  • Familiarity with strategies and tools that promote innovation and continuous improvement in online education.

Responsibilities

Learning Support Leadership

  • Manages a collaborative team in the support of online and hybrid learning content by recruiting retaining training mentoring supervising and evaluating team members.

  • Schedules system upgrades and maintains backups.

  • Troubleshoot problems and user complaints.

  • Assigns priorities and addresses requests as needed.

  • Acts as primary liaison with vendors/Project Manager.

  • Assists and supports faculty with the use and implementation of online courses.

  • Solves ondemand problems with faculty in online/hybrid courses.

  • Supervises and evaluates fulltime employees and student personnel.

  • Renews instructional software licenses annually.

  • Performs project planning and sets yearly priorities for the Centers Online Support Services division.

Learning Support

  • Provide LMS support during course facilitation/delivery (gradebook group setup thirdparty tool challenges etc..

  • Conduct LMS training for faculty in need of training during the Design Workshop window of time.

  • Conduct course improvement meetings (post facilitation/delivery); work with the Learning Design Team (or Manager of PM and Manager of QA) to scope and schedule course changes.

  • Gather and report data to the instructor and program director and prepare courses for the next delivery.

Project Support

  • Manages communications and utilizes excellent time management skills to complete projects.

  • Uses project management system to document project progress.

  • Maintains documentation for each project.

  • Schedules knowledge article projects and defines constraints.

  • Creates outlines storyboards workflows process flows knowledge articles etc. as needed to communicate interaction and training ideas.

  • Prepares rough drafts and presents ideas to those with and without a digital learning background.

  • Manages and maintains a knowledge library for projects.

Information Awareness and Innovation

  • Monitor and interpret trends in digital learning educational technology and higher education to inform practice.

  • Attend relevant workshops conferences and training to stay current with emerging instructional tools and strategies.

  • Recommend new technologies and integration strategies that elevate instructional support services.

  • Explore creative approaches to delivering information training and technical guidance for faculty and staff.

  • Other Duties as Assigned
