The Leasing Specialist 6Month Contract) is a key member of the Retail Excellence Team to oversee and manage the leasing operations for the business portfolio. The role is critical in improving a businesss lease position by ensuring that the lease terms and conditions are favorable costeffective and aligned with the businesss goals. Acting as an intermediary between the business the property owner landlord or legal team to achieve better terms and managing the relationship throughout the lease term.

The Role:

End of Lease Works: Coordinate endoflease activities including inspections repairs make good and handovers.
Internal Consultations: Collaborate with internal teams to understand leasing needs and provide expert advice.
Landlord Negotiations: Negotiate lease terms and conditions with landlords to secure favorable agreements.
Negotiating Lease Provisions: Work with landlord solicitors to negotiate lease provisions and ensure legal compliance.
Reviewing Letters of Offer: Review and assess letters of offer to ensure compliance with company standards and requirements.
Review Contracts: Liaising with Group General Counsel and External Legal Panel
Internal Approvals: Obtain necessary internal approvals for lease agreements and related documents.
Arranging Signatures: Facilitate the signing process for lease agreements and related documents.
Updating Property Software Database: Maintain and update the property software database with accurate and current lease information.

New Store Sourcing:
Identify and evaluate potential new store locations in line with company expansion plans.
Using your knowledge and expertise to canvas the market for potential opportunities.
Seeking feedback from Area Managers and the local clinic teams on site suitability.
Liaising with appointed architects to produce concept drawings for submission to builders.
Working with the Head of Property for Capex sign off.

Qualifications:

High school completion (Year 12 VCE)
Full Real Estate License
Expertise in commercial leasing
Expertise in commercial property management
Tenant representation experience
Customer service
Knowledge of local real estate markets

High level understanding of relevant retail legislation across Australia
Demonstrated understanding of leasing transactions across Australia
High proficiency using MS Office Suite
Experience using lease management software ie. Lease Eagle
Experience using Oracle or Cloud based software
Retail lease negotiation
