POSITION: Commercial Drywall Estimator LOCATION: Fremont California
COMPANY OVERVIEW: Join a leading commercial drywall contractor in the thriving Bay Area market. Our client has an established reputation for excellence in commercial construction and maintains a culture focused on growth innovation and worklife balance.
POSITION SUMMARY: Were seeking an experienced Commercial Drywall Estimator to join our clients preconstruction team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in OnScreen Takeoff (OST) and Quickbid (QB) software with a focus on projects exceeding $1MM in value.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform detailed quantity takeoffs using OnScreen Takeoff
Prepare comprehensive estimates using Quickbid software
Review project plans specifications and bid documents
Analyze construction documents to identify potential issues
Coordinate with project management team on bid strategies
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors
Prepare and submit detailed bid proposals
Participate in scope review meetings
Support value engineering initiatives
Conduct job walks and prebid meetings
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
3 years of commercial drywall estimating experience
Proficiency in OnScreen Takeoff and Quickbid software
Strong understanding of commercial construction methods
Experience with projects valued over $1MM
Excellence in reading and interpreting construction documents
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Effective communication abilities
Detailoriented with strong organizational skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in the Bay Area market Knowledge of related trades (ACT FRP Division 9 packages) Background in project management Experience with designbuild projects
