Our valued client is a wellestablished familyowned wholesale business serving a diverse customer base in the foodservice and retail sectors across the GTA. Known for their reliable service strong supplier partnerships and diverse product offerings this organization is committed to continuous improvement and responsible growth.

We are looking for a detaildriven Corporate Controller to manage and enhance our clients financial operations vendor partnerships and internal accounting practices. This is a newly created handson leadership role ideal for someone who wants to make a real impact and grow with the company.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Management Analysis and Reporting
  • Oversee daily accounting operations: AP/AR general ledger payroll and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements on a monthly quarterly and annual basis.
  • Lead budgeting forecasting and cash flow planning initiatives.
  • Provide actionable insights and reporting on KPIs variances and profitability to support senior leadership.
  • Liaise with external accountants for audits tax filings and ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
2. Vendor and Inventory Oversight
  • Work with vendors to negotiate favorable pricing and payment terms.
  • Monitor vendor performance and recommend process improvements and costsaving initiatives that support inventory cost control and accuracy.
  • Develop and enforce inventory control procedures and conduct audits to maintain accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
3. Leadership and Team Management
  • Supervise a small accounting team including AP/AR personnel providing coaching support and performance feedback.
  • Set performance objectives conduct regular reviews and foster a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Support operational decisionmaking with financial insight.
  • Foster an environment focused on accuracy efficiency and continuous improvement.
Who Were Looking For
  • Postsecondary degree or diploma in Accounting Finance or Business Administration.
  • CPA or other accounting designation is a strong asset.
  • 5 years of progressive accounting experience ideally with exposure to wholesale distribution or grocery/retail environments.
  • Proficiency in Simply Accounting Microsoft Excel Word and Outlook; familiarity with LOC software is an asset.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication negotiation and team leadership abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced entrepreneurial environment.
Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range:
$75000 C$90000 per year based on experience and qualifications
