We are looking for a detaildriven Corporate Controller to manage and enhance our clients financial operations vendor partnerships and internal accounting practices. 1. Financial Management Analysis and Reporting
- Oversee daily accounting operations: AP/AR general ledger payroll and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements on a monthly quarterly and annual basis.
- Lead budgeting forecasting and cash flow planning initiatives.
- Provide actionable insights and reporting on KPIs variances and profitability to support senior leadership.
- Liaise with external accountants for audits tax filings and ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Work with vendors to negotiate favorable pricing and payment terms.
- Monitor vendor performance and recommend process improvements and costsaving initiatives that support inventory cost control and accuracy.
- Develop and enforce inventory control procedures and conduct audits to maintain accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
- Supervise a small accounting team including AP/AR personnel providing coaching support and performance feedback.
- Set performance objectives conduct regular reviews and foster a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Support operational decisionmaking with financial insight.
- Foster an environment focused on accuracy efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Postsecondary degree or diploma in Accounting Finance or Business Administration.
- CPA or other accounting designation is a strong asset.
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience ideally with exposure to wholesale distribution or grocery/retail environments.
- Proficiency in Simply Accounting Microsoft Excel Word and Outlook; familiarity with LOC software is an asset.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication negotiation and team leadership abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fastpaced entrepreneurial environment.
Salary Range:
$75000 C$90000 per year based on experience and qualifications
