Job Description
Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Property Manager to join one of our longterm clients team at one of their properties in St. Paul MN. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years experience in property management (as an assistant property manager or property manager) knowledge and experience of affordable housing within section 42/income restricted and Section 8 Vouchers experience is required. This role is contracted to hire 90 days before conversion).
This role will be working with 1 property that was built in/income restricted units and 3 stories.
Salary: $26$30/hour DOQ. This role is contracted for 90 days in length but could go long term/permanent for the right candidate.
Schedule: This role will be working Monday Friday 8/830am 430/5pm with an unpaid lunch break.
The Property Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of the site to provide a fiscally sound wellmaintained and socially healthy apartment community. The Property Manager also provides leadership and guidance to the staff.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collecting rent and other property fees from tenants and individual owners
- Paying property expenses including taxes mortgages payroll insurance premiums and maintenance costs
- Reporting the propertys financial status occupancy and expiring leases to property owners
- Meeting potential tenants showing them the property and assessing their applications in accordance with antidiscrimination laws
- Leasing and compliance duties within affordable housing communities and fair housing rules.
- Advertising vacant properties and hiring a leasing agent to find tenants as needed.
- Inspecting properties and arranging for repairs and new materials as required
- Arranging contracts for maintenance trash removal landscaping security and other ongoing services and managing disputes with these service providers where appropriate
- Investigating and resolving property complaints and rental violations
Position Requirements:
- 2 years experience in property management assistant property manager or property manager role.
- Knowledge of government subsidy programs 62/income restricted/section 42 and Section 8 voucher experience is required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Outlook and Excel.
- Be able to successfully complete a Kari Koskinen background check before employment.
